Dr. Hisham Ababneh is a qualified Jordanian lawyer in the commercial, corporate, banking, and arbitration fields. He holds a SJD (PhD) degree from the University of Pittsburgh (USA) specialized in corporate and international investment laws and disputes. He also holds a LLM degree from McGill University, where he specialized in international commercial arbitration law. Hisham has vast experience in dealing and working with foreign investors and advises many international and local banks, corporations, and NGO’s on a spectrum of banking, corporate, and commercial legal matters and disputes. He has also taught secured transactions, corporate law, arbitration, and commercial contracts law courses both in Jordan and the USA. Hisham has over 12 years of experience working for international law firms (Dentons, Eversheds Sutherland, and Tamimi) and has significant experience in contract reviewing, drafting, and advisory on contractual rights and disputes. He has been appointed as arbitrator (both as sole and member arbitrator) in addition to representing clients before arbitrations as counsel. Hisham is regularly consulted by the World Bank Group on legal questions and on other regulatory projects of commercial, IP, and investment nature.
