NORLIZA RASOOL KHAN is the founder of Liza Khan Chambers with about 25 years experience in corporate and commercial dispute resolution and advisory. Having been seconded to the Securities Commission, she is well versed with the workings of the Corporate Governance and Capital Markets. She holds certificate in Leading Sustainability in Corporations from University of Oxford giving her expertise in Sustainability. Liza is also well versed in Islamic Finance having obtained an Executive Certificate in Islamic Finance granted by INCEIF. She also has extensive knowledge in personal data and gaming laws She sits as an Independent Non- Executive director in two public listed entities where she also sits in their risk management committees. As a board member of the NGO Voice of the Children Sdn she is involved in driving campaigns and raising funds resulting in significant changes in policies on child marriage and amendments to the Childs Act.Liza also sits as arbitrator and was the Past Chair of the Kuala Lumpur Bar Gender Equality and Diversity Committee for 2020 where she was instrumental in drafting a proposed ruling on Sexual Harassment and policy on Sexual Harassment to be adopted by law firms. As past Bar Council member 2019-2020, she was involved in the amendments to the Legal Profession Act. Liza is the deputy Chair of the Arbitration Committee of the Malaysian Bar. She is also a member and mentor of the Association of Women Lawyers Malaysia.Named Managing Partner of the Year 2023 and finalist for the Woman Lawyer of the Year 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2024 Award by ALB, Liza is a Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Coach, a certified Polo player who believes that everything is possible.
